joe orton exhibition

Islington Council asked us to create an exhibition on the life and death of playwright Joe Orton for display in their Town Hall.

We created our own 'walls' for the exhibition using hundreds of images scanned from old books, this replicated decor at the flat where Joe and his lover Kenneth Halliwell lived in Islington. We told Joe's life story through a series of panels and personal possessions kindly lent to us by Joe's sister Leonie and the University of Leicester.
